As usual, Obamas middle path is drawing hate from all sides. The facts are that Islam, at least Arab Islam, is melting down. They have sowed the wind and are reaping the whirlwind. Oil is on the way out, the Fundamentalist view of the Koran is insanely out of step with modern life, and women all over the world are assuming equality. So what to do? Double down on the stupid. If Obama did nothing, the Right would be raving for the next two years, full bore. If he sent in real military force, it would be another quagmire. There is no win to this situation. One tenth of the worlds population, from Morocco to Pakistan, has lost their minds, and we cant fix that. Its not Muslims. Bangladesh and Indonesia are doing fine. I think they are the two largest Moslem countries. Its the Arabs and the Pakistanis. The Iranians are actually under control. So go figure. A mess. People with no hope are lashing out at any possible victims, and minority Christians are getting it in the neck. ISIS is just a symptom of a very serious disease, with no cure in sight. Jolly fun.
