As usual, uninformed, unenlightened, developmentally-challenged conservatards are twisting the point and deliberately misrepresenting it - because being dishonest, callous and abusive is a big part of being conservative in the U.S., so, Im going to try to break it down for you: People who object to this trend of moving up the start of the holiday shopping season more and more each year - until it has started to infringe on Thanksgiving Day family time - are aware that there is a lot of work that has to be done every year, even on Thanksgiving Day, by people who are well-paid to do it, and who dont mind, because they know that they are in a field that cant stop for a holiday. Unlike you conservatards - were not stupid or completely blind to reality. We dont constantly lie to ourselves and others about what we see, read and hear. In short - we dont have the mental illness called conservatism. What we object to is the exploitation of people who are working for highly profitable companies that could EASILY give their people a day off for a national holiday, and that are hoarding profits and not paying the people who make their profits for them a living wage, not giving them full time hours - so that when they work a holiday they dont qualify for holiday pay, not giving them any benefits - not even paid time off for illness or vacation, and not giving them any bonuses commensurate with higher productivity or profits. That SHOULD clarify it for you, but, I think the problem here is plain old malicious dishonesty - not a misunderstanding.
