As usual welcome to the world of service dogs and the idiots we live around, AHS is one of the worst to deal with we hear oh but people have dog allergies , yet many other allergies are not considered, next on my list of idiots is the school system and the RCMP. One we are expected to educate yet for how long do we educate people and they do nothing, do not listen-- sticking in their narrow world of education. My friend was told we should educate and not go for the juggler and yet I have educated this town since 2005, and what she has faced is a repeat of my 4 - 6 hour waits for a doctor, being told my dog smells even if recently bathed . I am tired of having to provide the people with all the data and looking up the laws for them, yet having nothing done . I feel as though I live in a province and country that hates people with disabilities and service dogs, yet I wounder if the realize how much these dogs save the tax payer in doctors fees etc, as our dogs are better at judging what we need then most medical professional, I have found I use doctors to confirm what my dogs have been signalling to me. Maybe that is why AHS is so uptight about having SD in their facilities. Service Dogs have higher training than the average pets, most have over 40,000.00 worth of training in them, they are train to mediate their handlers medial condition and keep them safe. Also the RCMP do not want to step in and help people with disabilities and SD, excuse me I am beginning to think all these people would rather see us in medical distress due to the extra work load of educating or maybe we will give up and go away , maybe even death and they would not have to deal with us again. My friend is finding out the stupidity and frustration of deal with the average human being who does not want to learn or refuse to help as they would have to learn and accept something new and management says no so that is the easy way out for them. So you soft peddle and try to get higher ups to help and I write and I have to tone a lot down as people would stop reading and whether I like it or not I have to educate . My dogs are my life and they are for me FREEDOM to be able to live a life that is near to normal as possible and not have to sit and wait for people which for many of my friends they know me and how active I am, waiting constantly waiting would kill me. So I need my service dog with me at all times and for my friend she has to educate and is responsible for the education of their dog for her daughter and she should be granted the same right I expect to get and many places do not honor. Yet people who have got to know my dogs, greet them by name , are happy to see them and always ask before petting when he is in jacket, these few make up for the many idiots I meet on a daily basis in town Rita Lillico
