As we all know far too well, mistakes are a part of life. If you’re smart enough, you might just get away with NOT making one every day. For most of us though, the human tendency is to err even with things that we’ve been doing for years. Like bass fishing. You’ve read all the books, listened to the experts and spent plenty of time on the water to know how its done. But for whatever reason, you’re not catching the fish you want. Well, there are quite a few mistakes that can be, and will be, made while angling that will hinder your chances of catching that prize winner. We’ve listed a few of these mistakes here. See if any of these ring true for you. Using old or frayed fishing line. You’re just asking to lose the long fight with a fish if you’re using anything but fresh line. Using dull or worn hooks. Again, a hook can’t set if its too dull to really bite in. Make sure that all of your hooks are nice and sharp before depending on them. You’re stuck on one fishing lure. Using the same lure, regardless of the situation or location simply because its worked for you in the past, is a surefire way to be disappointed more often than not. You’re plopping your cast. As the day wears on we can sometimes get discouraged or lazy while fishing. Make sure that every one of your casts is a quality one and treat it like it’s your first, or your last, cast of the day. These are just a few of the bass fishing mistakes that we have witnessed over the years. Though as much as we like to toot our own horns, we know that you can’t go wrong with Power Team saltwater fishing lures and bass fishing tackle. Don’t make the mistake of not having Power Team fishing lures in your tackle box.
