As we already shared the first part, here comes the second part. - TopicsExpress

As we already shared the first part, here comes the second part. And, bear in mind, that this is a parody representation which is sadly, not fully untrue one, though. But every western church is not like that. And there are different black churches too. Now, that takes me back to our speaker Robyn Thom Rodgers who is going to speak tonight and every night of the week at 7.30pm at Victory Centre in Portswood, Southampton. She shared on Sunday how she had been invited to a home fellowship meeting, where she knew almost no one apart from the lady who had invited her over. She wondered when she came there, what kind of a place it was. It was a magnificent white marble building. When she went in, everything inside was of white marble and the furniture was white. Then the people came, everyone dressed in the most expensive designer clothes. She sat in the foyer and Holy Spirit told her that she was the speaker that night. She had no clue. As the one who had asked her over was not in charge of the meeting. But the One in Charge sure made her the way. She was not trying to do anything. Instead, she felt embarrassed, for she had had at the courtesy of the lady who had invited her over, a parasite cleanse - a notion which she had first heard when she arrived to the States, in South Africa where she grew up there was no such thing, but in the States everyone spoke about it. It was as if a colon cleanse or similar fad of the present day. In any way, she had not eaten properly for three days, she had no makeup on, and was dressed very poorly compared to all these dazzling outfits....and she sure did not particularly fancy about ending up preaching. Then they had a testimony part (and the present video features namely that part of the service) and the first two people who gave their testimonies....told although they had all the money one could desire and everything else imaginable in the world, about all the misery they had had....and God got very little, if any glory out of it. The second testimony went just the same....and Robyn felt how the spirit within her was rising up. And then when they told that they could have one more testimony, she raised her hand quickly in order to give a proper testimony. And then she looked around and saw that she was the only one with her hand up:) So, all the eyes were on her. And naturally once when she opened her mouth and started off....there was no stopping her:) And God got all the glory. But the present parody church comparison is also not against the Anglican nor a Baptist church. But I must say that I was at a church where I was even married in NY State, and although the pastor was great and a prophet and strong in his teaching and very much together and even had an Elim church background (which is represented in UK by KT in London and my own church, CCC at Chiswick), when we had the worship time, I suddenly noticed that I was one of the very few who bothered even to stand up, and worship God. The rest of the people remained seated, and not even quietly....they just continued their conversation at the same time.... That was something I had not experienced before. Later on I saw the same at a church I visited in England. The worship was on, and I was one of the very few people who dared to raise my hand or displayed any sign of life. They had two songs and then testimonies. And sadly....here I am going to stop. Now, they had other strengths and it was a great place. Just in need of an injection of life, though. But here comes another part of the black and white church comparison. Be blessed! https://youtube/watch?v=fa_mm8F7ydg
