As we appear to be in a lull of significant solar activity, even though we are a the supposed peak of solar cycle 24, Like many of my counterparts I have been going back through some previous auroral events to see what I may have missed or could improve upon. This image is a three shot panorama taken at Sand Bar State Park (my go to spot when I know I want to get the goods) in Milton VT. This was shot in July of 2011 during a three day solar storm resulting from an X class flair.
