As we are expecting severe weather I would like to remind everyone of the following. If reporting an outage please do not call 911 or the Fire Department. Emergency services tend to get very busy during these times. For outage reporting and status Please call PG&Es 24-Hour Emergency and Customer Service Line at 1-800-PGE-5000 or 1-800-743-5000. If you are in an area not serviced by PGE please look up their number in the phone book. If you see a downed power line do not touch and do not approach! Call 911 and report it. Please do not call the fire department directly as we could be busy and not hear the phone. Please call 911 for ANY emergency. Please keep your cell phone charged and a full tank of fuel in your vehicle in the event of power outage. For up to date info regarding storms impacting our area please check in on the Peninsula Fire facebook page or Plumas County Website countyofplumas/ This is also the perfect time to enroll in the Code Red program at plumascounty.us/index.aspx?nid=2163. When travelling PLEASE check road status prior to departure. You may check road conditions and cameras here - dot.ca.gov/hq/roadinfo/do2map.htm For weather updates please visit the National Weather Service - forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Westwood&state=CA&site=REV&lat=40.2631&lon=-121.022#.VIhkaVx0x-Y Everyone stay safe and warm and be careful should you need to engage in snow removal.
