As we begin 2015 the controversy of the shark cull policy seemed a thing of the past. The Environmental Protection Agency ruled against extending the culling program for another three years. Reluctantly the Premier backed down admitting the policy had no future, and would respect the decision. Yet all was not as it seemed. As politicians do, talks were held behind closed doors on loosening the interpretation of the imminent threat policy.
