As we begin a new year, do we have faith in God’s provision? To do so is to take our Savior at His word when He said, “Do not worry about your life . . . . Do not worry about tomorrow” (Matt. 6:25,34). Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength. —Corrie ten Boom Insight In today’s passage, we read our Lord’s admonition to trust in God’s provision instead of worrying. Managing our troubles by faith one day at a time is wise counsel indeed: “Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (v.34). Leaving our struggles in God’s hands is a key to peaceful living.
