As we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family, let us reflect on the situations in our homes and think of how we could all contribute in building peaceful and united families. As it is, we all belong to families but we do not experience the same blessings. What we see depends on what we bring into our family units. Some families are peaceful, some are troubled. Some are united, some are divided. Some are progressing, some are deteriorating. Some are jubilating, some are mourning. In the war against the family life that we see, it is family members themselves who constitute the agents of destruction. We all have our respective roles in building the family we want because a four-legged chair with one broken leg will never stand secure. The question is, what role have you played in making your family what it is?
