As we close out 2014, I reviewed the articles I wrote this year to determine which one was the most popular with my readers so I could share it with you once again. It turns out that the article below was easily the most widely read. I believe that God is calling me to do something in 2015 and beyond to help reconcile the races in America, and certainly black and white Christians to one another, because we worship the same Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we are to be identified as His disciples by our love for one another. I know in my heart that the enmity between us is a product of the world and of Satan, and that it must not stand: With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. ~ James 3:1-13 I am working with some smart, talented and dedicated people to devise a plan, but my constant prayer is that it be Gods plan, not my own or anyone elses. I am trying to exercise the utmost transparency, humility and grace as I submit myself to Gods will, and I would greatly appreciate your prayers that His will be done in my life.
