As we continue to build our relationship with God one piece at a time, it is vital we remember what is important in God’s eyes may not be important in our eyes. Therefore, it is vital we build our relationship with God so we will never lose sight of what is important to Him. The Lord our God values things in life different from the way we do. Our Lord may allow us to go through many kinds of trials because He values us and wants to see if our love for Him is real or if we are simply pretending. Are we prepared for the trials of life? A true and authentic relationship with God is one that cannot be faked, especially during the storms of life. Mark 7:6 These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men. Being a child of God requires a deep and intimate relationship with Him. The pretenders are those who are very good with their words, but their hearts are far from God, and even their worship is despised by our Lord. Are we merely following rules and laws made by man?
