As we gear up for the weekend, were tracking a storm system set to bring another round of rain/storms to the region. For those with outdoor plans Saturday, I think many will stay warm & dry. A round of rain and rumbles is expected to arrive late Saturday night. As it stands now, that initial round of rain is not expected to carry a severe weather threat. However, as Sunday morning approaches enough warm & moist air is expected to surge northward to open a window of at least some threat for strong to severe storms. Question marks remain as to how far north this unstable air will be able to make it. The overall severe weather threat remains unclear...as does the exact timing. New computer model runs seem to favor a window from Sunday morning into early afternoon...but may need refinement. Should severe weather materialize, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes would be possible. Well continue to keep you updated as this developing system evolves. As always, well hope for a good round of rain without severe weather materializing. But as we remember from Monday morning, it only takes a few storms to create problems. Please continue to stay tuned to updates. Until then...enjoy your weekend!
