As we get closer to God, we begin to hear His voice speaking directly to us. So we have to get familiar with the sound and tone of Gods voice, because Satan is not only a lyer, hes a ventriloquist. Satan, tries to make himself sound like God (2 Cor. 11:14 And no wonder! Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.) By using Gods words in a slightly different fashion, he comes up with convincing arguments for things that are not true. For example, convincing people to do things that simulate godliness, such as trusting an outward personality of self-discipline rather than Christs death for salvation (Col. 2:23), Satan has lead many astray. God went to extremes to make sure we would recognized His voice. He not only gave us His Word, He gave us the Word made of flesh-Jesus (John 1:14)--so that we will not be easily deceived or mislead. So we as humans have to be on guard at all times, because we never know what trick or treats Satan is planning. Listen not only with your heart also your mind. And let them both agree. Instill within my heart, O Lord, a deeper desire to know Your Word, I want to learn to hear and understand Your voice that I may make Your will my choice. Amen. Have a great week and safe holiday.
