As we head into colder weather with our horses, we are wondering what you do with yours during the winter to maintain their health, safety, and your sanity? We are getting a lot of questions about what we would suggest others do with their horses and while we appreciate being able to share our knowledge and experience with everyone (and are happy to do so), we recognize that different people have different ways of doing the same thing... So, we thought it might be a good idea to post an open question asking for you to share what you do during the winter as far as WATER, SHELTER, BLANKETING, HAY, and EXCERCISE for your horses and how you stay warm & sane doing it! Only helpful suggestions from your own experience please. Any negative comments on other peoples suggestions will be deleted. This is to HELP our fellow horse lovers and not a forum for fighting. Leatherman Lane has a no drama policy, and that extends to our facebook page as well (we just dont do drama ~thanks). You are also welcome to post a question if you are looking for advice on a particular winter scenario at your barn. ~Stay warm, happy & healthy~
