As Christians though, in reality death, even in martyrdom witnessing to the love of God even to being murdered for it, is not a tragedy. Our faith and Christian hope reminds us that we simply pass through a door into the life that we were created for in the first place in Heaven with the Lord and his angels and saints. Naturally, like any parting, death is sorrowful, but the light of the Lord shines through even that darkness when we have faith in him. We will all meet again in the better life ahead.
