As we look at the immigration issue in America ... especially - TopicsExpress

As we look at the immigration issue in America ... especially during this very special holiday of Thanksgiving ... remember the folks of North America that helped these early foreign immigrants when they suffered so many hardships during the winter of 1620 -1621 in he North East coastal area of what they called the new world ... the humanity of the native North America Indians helped the early colonist survive in that span of time ... they had a teacher that had learned the foreign language spoken by the immigrants and he helped to not only translate but to teach the new immigrants how to survive the cold harsh winters of the North East ... today I realize our world is very different and complex and our lawmakers need to consider all the facts as they write new laws effecting people who come to our shores to study, work & live ... be sure to say a prayer for our lawmakers as they research, think and try to work together through these issues ... our government was set up long ago to take advantage of all the minds of all our elected law makers so they could over time come up with the best laws for our country ... sure this takes longer than just one person making new laws ... but has proven time and time again over the years of our great country to produce the best laws for We The People of America! ... my ancestors came mainly from foreign countries to America with one very special ancestor being from the First Nation People of North America ... our world history can be cruel and harsh at times ... but I love to look back at these small pockets of time of true humanity like that shown above, that resulted in what later we celebrate today as Thanksgiving Day ... I personally give my thanks to God for all things everyday but there is just something very special about a set National Holiday where all people are reminded to give thanks ... wishing all of you a very special Thanksgiving Day from the Swallows Nest in Zhengzhou, China ... just across the pond!
