As we move into the homestretch of the resolution of this issue, - TopicsExpress

As we move into the homestretch of the resolution of this issue, we do want to address some concerns which have been raised in the comment threads of the related Facebook posts. First, there has been absolutely no compromise on the server farm; this is not the result of any malicious or nefarious activity whatsoever. This situation is legitimately the result of a necessary CentOS upgrade which ultimately conflicted with parameters of our kernel in a very serious manner. Secondly, regarding the removal of some comments: we are removing comments that use profanity or blatantly link to third parties for promotional purposes. In some cases, we have removed comments that contain conjecture or speculation that would only serve to cause further concern to the general audience, basically incorrect or uninformed comments that serve no purpose other than to stir the pot and cause additional unnecessary stress. This situation is already stressful for customers and employees alike, there is no need to be subjected to additional fuel on the fire that is based entirely in falsehood. As part of this process, it is possible that some comments not falling within the above parameters were inadvertently removed, however no effort was put forth to remove anything negative about HostGator simply because it was negative about HostGator; to anyone whos comment(s) were inadvertently removed, we absolutely apologize. We do want to hear both the positive and the negative about your experiences with us. Thirdly, we are responding to each and every direct message here on Facebook. However, the sheer number of messages is causing significant delays... as these words are typed, there are 432 messages awaiting responses and that number grows by the minute. We are doing our absolute best to communicate directly with each and every one of you, no one is or will be ignored, we promise. Thank you for reading this message and for your understanding. We will update here, as well as on the forum, as soon as there is new information to share. At this time, a number of innodb recoveries and fscks are still running, but we are hopeful that a full resolution will be forthcoming sooner than later. We are in this together and all very much want nothing more than a completely successful resolution across the board.
