As we move through this unfortunate event with Kaylis dog Nelly, it seems like surgery is our only option. We are seeing no improvement in her condition after 28 hours of medication, and the vet said that we would if it was going to work. And the truth is that this is about more than saving her legs, its about saving her life. With this kind of condition, the nerves to the bowels and bladder will likely also become involved in time. Once that happens...well...thats it. The vet says we need to move fast if we are going to do the surgery, which Kayli is determined to make happen. And so we are working hard to raise enough money today to get at least half way. Kayli will borrow the balance and pay it off over time. Rick and I have contributed, so has her Dad, and her boyfriends mom too. She is working really hard to raise the $3,000 it requires by selling things she doesnt need, collecting bottles, and also donations.
