As we near the end of the 5 day ceasefire (midnight Monday) the confusion mongers are out in force again. This fluctuation in news sources and opinions is another cruel blow for the people of Gaza trying to recover some semblance of normality in their shattered lives. Hamass head of foreign affairs, Osama Hamdan has said that offers made to the Palestinian delegation in Cairo do not meet the aspirations of the people. Hamdan said on his official Facebook page Saturday: Israel must accept the demands of the Palestinian people or face a long war. Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbass Fatah faction has declared its intentions to further increase its retaliatory attacks against the Israeli regime. A new video released to YouTube by Fatahs military wing, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, declares the unity of Fatahs various military branches, and announces a recent decision to strengthen Fatahs military activities. Filming in what they term a joint operations room in Gaza, the Fatah fighters are seen in the video proudly displaying three-barrel rocket launchers, anti-tank rocket launchers, assault rifles and portable communications devices. One of the fighters tells the camera that the rifle was and remains the only option to free the occupied lands, and that Fatah has never abandoned the path of military resistance.
