As we observe World Suicide Prevention Day, Senator Ayotte today renewed her call for Congress to take up and pass the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act Reauthorization, bipartisan legislation she is cosponsoring that would help support key suicide prevention efforts. Too many families in New Hampshire and across our country have been touched by the tragedy of suicide, and we need to better inform the public of early warning signs, as well as work to reduce stigma, so that families and friends are better able to help loved ones in crisis.
