As we open tonight, I want to give a series of special shout-outs. The first is to the stalwart line-up of supporters who have shepherded this project from its inception in 2011 through to this first production at SVT-thanks to the generous invitation of Jenny Larson. This line up includes Travis Preston, Marissa Chibas Preston and the CalArts Center for New Performance which afforded us our first intensive workshop experience, and the wonderful actors who were involved as part of that experience and the subsequent presentation through the CalArts School of Music. The MAP FUND supported this production and gave us the opportunity to delve deep over two years; much gratitude to a fund that continues to invest in new live performance, and extra special thanks to Moira Brennan and Lauren Slone at MAP who have been true champions of the work. To Carla Jackson, my friend and colleague at Fordham who graciously gave of her talent and time to help promote this piece. And finally, to Sarah Benson, whose faith has made an incalculable difference in my life as an artist.
