As we prepare for our Christmas day festivities, lets take time to think of those less fortunate.....& if there is anything we can do to help, whether it be the homeless, the lonely or those who struggling to make ends meet. We can all offer prayers, but maybe we can also go that little extra, we could donate foods to the food banks, help homeless charities or salvation army with a donation to aid their work, offer to volunteer to help with the work if we have that opportunity in our area, or even visit those we know dont have family etc around. When in South Africa one other thing that was brought to attention was even offering a meal to a stranger....in the UK its not a thing we come across, someone in need knocking on our door Christmas day for a meal, but if we know of someone in need maybe we can make that effort to take a meal to them, just one small act can make a whole difference to someones day. Lets try to identify where we can be charitable this Christmas as there is no better feeling than the act of giving. Above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. ~ Colossians 3: 14. Dear Heavenly Father, Charity is the pure love of Christ, bless us to be more like thy Son Jesus in our attitudes, help us to identify at least one act of pure charity we can to this season to help spread thy love. When we learn charity for others we also show we are grateful for the charity God shows us each day. Thank you for all thou provide Father, may I use it to further thy work where I can.
