As we prepare for our Thanksgiving activities, before we take a bite, let us pause and remember all of those who have no warm home to gather in for protection from the cold, no hands to shake or hold while we are expressing and sharing our acknowledgement and acceptance of our close friends and relatives. Let us remember those who must work while we enjoy our day(s) off. Let us remember those who dont and won,t gather together because someone whom they love and miss so much is not there to be with them. Let us also remember those who cant celebrate this day openly because they are not free to observe a day that we take for granted. Remember those who are filled with hurt and anger because they dont have the hope we have that everything is gonna be alright. Remember the ones who are in hospitals, nursing homes, foster homes, prisons and jails, those who live in shelters and under bridges...all the homeless who only have memories of Thanksgiving Days that are in the past. Most of all, lets not forget or leave out the One who makes this all possible - because it is not politically correct. And let us purpose to stand up for Him because He stood up for us when He offered Himself up on the Cross. Amen!
