As we prepare for the school board meeting on Tuesday, write letters to school board members, or talk to our friends and neighbors, there are some things wed like to keep in mind: •This is a very sensitive, emotionally charged subject. Remember that people who have different views may just be in a different situation and may not realize how the boundaries are a true hardship for many students and families. •Our school board members are volunteers who spend many hours serving our community. They need to be treated with kindness and respect. •Even though this is a frustrating situation for many of us, the way to be effective is to keep cool heads and educate others about our concerns.
