As we prepare this morning to stand by the earthly house that Larry Justice occupied for his 73 year journey toward Heaven I am reminded of the sudden change that one day and one moment in that one day can bring to life. On Monday Larry and Ruth enjoyed a short trip together, came home and enjoyed a good supper. Larry went out to mow a little (he loved his home and his property), he evidently got tired and sat down in a lawn chair out by his pond. It was there that God sent an Angel to carry his soul and spirit to his forever home. Absent from the body and present with the Lord! My Grandfather used to say to me, Son, keep short accounts... What he meant was, dont leave here someday with words that you should have shared unspoken, deeds of kindness that you should have expressed undone. Keep those accounts paid up and youll be ready to depart in peace when the Lord dispatches the Angel that will assigned to lead you home. (Pray for Ruth and her children and grandchildren this morning. The service will be here at GBC at 11:00am)
