As we prepare to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend, we pray that God will ignite a prophetic fire in our revolutionary hearts. In his Dream Speech delivered on August 28, 1963 Dr King said, The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. Since a Staten Island grand jury cleared NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo in the chokehold death of Eric Garner on Wednesday December 3rd, New York City has been a whirlwind of revolt. Were excited to continue this spirit of revolt in the #Dream4Justice March on #MLKDayMonday 12 noon, 110th Street & Malcolm X Blvd. We will commemorate Dr. Kings true legacy of fighting and marching for justice and equality, through a Mother’s March led by the mothers to protest the deaths of unarmed young black men and women at the hands of police officers. Their #StolenDreams are why we fight for a more just & equitable world for all God’s children. Will you join us?
