As we read through the Bible, we see Gods people repeatedly - TopicsExpress

As we read through the Bible, we see Gods people repeatedly turning away from Him. Each time however God provides a way for them come back to Him. God sent Moses to lead them out of Egypt and to the promised land. Jeremiah, Isaiah, Nehemiah all were sent by God because His sheep had gone astray. Out of His great love God provided a way to restore His people, He even went so far as to have Jonah swallowed by a fish as spit out onto the shore of Nineveh. God has provided a way for us to be restored once again to Him. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 All things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. We are reconciled by Jesus Christ, he is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE no one come to the father except thru Him. Just as Israels sin turned them away from God, our sin has lead us away from God. And just as out of His love for Israel he made a path to restore them, He has created a path for us to be restored. That path is Jesus Christ, Romans 10:9 That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. We sometimes forget this as Christians, we point out the sins of others, especially nonbelievers, when we should be focusing on the path of His restoration. Sinners know their sin, and while we should not accept sin, what they really need is for us to open their eye to the fact that no matter how bad their sin God has provided a way for them to be restored to Him.
