As we remember the fallen today from our country being attacked 13 - TopicsExpress

As we remember the fallen today from our country being attacked 13 years ago, I can’t help but to pray not only and foremost for the families of the fallen but for our enemies also and for the ones in our own country who are lost in spirit. Some of you may disagree but Jesus said to love your enemies. He said that 2,000 years ago and it still stands today. On that day in 2001, I hated everything the terrorist stood for and still do, and if I had to kill one of them to defend either my family or my country, I would in a “New York minute”, but I believe they do not know the love of Jesus Christ and I pray for the Holy Spirit to convict their hearts and the hearts of the ones “in my circle” that do not have a relationship with Jesus. Everyone says, “We Will Never Forget” and we surely won’t and we honor those who died on 9-11-01 and those in the military who have died protecting us and are still protecting us. But we also need to say “I Will Never Forget What Jesus Did for Me” because when it all boils down to it, he is the reason we’re here in the first place, he is the reason our sins “can be” forgiven when you confess them to him. We have a great and powerful God who loves us and promises us eternal life with him and all we have to do is believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God and that he died on the cross for your sins and was raised from the dead by God. No one knows when Jesus will come back. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It could be in 5 minutes or it could be 50 years from now. Be ready and yearn for his return.
