As we see the Open Letters to the Open Letters and the Open - TopicsExpress

As we see the Open Letters to the Open Letters and the Open Letters of the Open Letters (I just always figured that when you post something on social media of any type that in itself declared it an open letter, but anyways, I digress) let us not forget that both sides have a point. The present church has issues and that being the church as in the people in a building that call themselves a church and that being the true church that is the body of Christ... yet I still love the church, the body and the people in the building. Loving the church doesnt mean I ignore the issues. Loving the church means I address the issues head on because I love the church too much to see it walking in immaturity and to see it living up to the worlds rumors instead of its Christ. What the world has too often seen of the church is abuse in the catholic, coldness in the protestant, idiosity in the charismatic, and backwoods in the baptist. The current eastern orthodox church still teaches the people that they have to pay money to the church for the forgiveness of their sins and they are told that they are not allowed to read the Scriptures for themselves. There is no gospel. There is no Jesus. Sadly in many of our American churches today. There is no gospel. There is no Jesus. There is no worship. Its a social club. And social clubs were built to keep others out and to pamper those within. Personally I believe the only reason a church doesnt grow is because it doesnt want to. I love the church. I will not leave the church. My family will always be a part of a local body of believers. The church is a living body... and it still has a lot of growing up to do... but it will not grow by ignoring the issues within and placing quick band-aids on wounds that need major surgery.
