As we wake up today, I must remind those who are going to be - TopicsExpress

As we wake up today, I must remind those who are going to be excluded academically and financially that their enemy has no mercy. Their enemy is my enemy too. Their enemy is capitalism. Capitalism by its very nature does not want progress of all. It wants progress of some, very few of the sum. It wants only few who could continue to work for it and produce commodities and offer services in order to help accumulate or increase capital for further exploitation of many by few. I want to remind all of those who will be denied right to education. It is not that they have failed. Or that they have no intelligence. Even, it is not because they are black. It is because capitalism is at work constantly, ensuring that only few access education. I must remind you: capitalism survives by abuse, exploiation and oppression of many by few. Need I remind you what needs to be done? If yes, I say: the alternative is unity. Unity of thought. Unity in action. Solidarity between all student formations. Consolidation of all the left, and demonstration, strikes, pickets, and so on. The solution is not meetings with managers, with Blade Nzimande, with Parliament and so on. The solution is revolution. Revolution is total overhaul of capitalism. But we must start somewhere: we must fight tooth and nail to ensure no one is excluded. We must sleep outside campuses, in halls, in cemented tiles, have no food to eat, no water taps from which to pour water and wipe our faces and we must be hated by managers, and police must fury in rage and wish to pull his trigger. We must become one in action. We must be the most wanted by capitalist forces. Yet we must vow to defend students, to be with them, not for them, but with them, fight with them, serve, suffer and sacrifice. We cannot afford to let the enemy (capitalism) to thrive, to prosper and to succeed. Not now.
