As well as meeting lots of interesting and exciting human visitors at Hilsea Lido over the last week or so, weve had the privilege of enjoying plenty of visitors of a wilder kind - a buzzard and kestrel flying overhead, a young family of goldfinches relaxing on the sun terrace, a baby robin being introduced to the big wide world by its mum, a large variety of waterfowl on the moat, a returning egret in the creek, a green woodpecker laughing in the trees, blackbirds calling to each other across the pool, an exotic looking sulphur yellow moth sheltering from the rain at the door of the Blue Lagoon and finally, the best sight of all today... the swifts have returned & that means summer is rapidly approaching!! The environs of Hilsea Lido really are very special :o)
