As weve been here since November first, it is almost time for Teddy and I to go home. Our bags are packed and we shall sadly be leaving Rose and Nicholas within the next few days. These past few weeks have been awfully wonderful, warm and healing for the both of us. Therell be more hurdles to overcome, I should think, but with the two of us together--well, we can overcome anything, cant we, darlings? *Grins and then sighs, hugging Rose close to her* I shall be so very, very sad to leave, you know--but Ive a wedding to plan, dont I now? *Cheers and grins, winking happily around at everyone* Gosh! Me--Clemmie de Berenjois! Me--Claudette de Bernstein! Im getting married to Theodore, one of the Royal Crown Princes of Ousburg, Germany! Well, whaddya think of that, darlings? Course, hes only my sweet and loyal Teddy to me--and thats what I shall always call him, but to everyone else, hes a heroic prince, a knightly and quite jolly and good figure, too. Still, I am glad that I met him before I knew all of that. Im glad because we just want to live together and be married and be happy--and thats really all that any of us wants, isnt it darlings? *Nods solemnly, happily, smiling around at them all* Today, Rose and I have been poring over her old wedding magazines. I shall be ordering quite a bit of my trousseau and Rose is lending me a few of her own things and then, of course, I shall make one or two things, just as Mater taught me to do. After all--I should use what I know, huh? Well--some of it, at least! *Winks and grins and then grows a bit sad and distant* Its hard for me and for Teddy, too. Our families are either missing or far away or perhaps even dead--and its at moments like this that I miss Mater and Papa the very most. Its when I need them the most that they cant be here and it makes me so terribly, terribly sad. Nevertheless, darlings, this shall be a wedding to remember! I shall make sure of it! And I shall make Mater and Papa proud, too, when I marry. I will follow the traditions. I will marry Teddy and be loyal to him. And when Teddy puts the ring on my finger, then I shall remember Maters ring, too--and Ill pray that I can see them again once more in this lifetime. *Wipes away her tears and sits up straight* And now, my darlings--what do you all think of this dress and veil? Or perhaps this one? *Points to various dresses in Roses magazine* Ooh, theyre all just the bees knees, arent they? I simply cannot decide on my own! Help me out here! *Grins and flips through the rest of the magazine, happily marking off different selections by folding some of the corners of the pages down for later--and by writing down every other thing that catches her fancy, too!*
