As yall know, there are many iconic live musical performances that match song and artist...that every music fan should experience. Some that come to mind by those that are still living and performing (even if the they are not at their best compared with that in the past): The Who with Wont Get Fooled Again, Billy Joel Piano Man, Paul Simon The Sound of Silence, U2 With or Without You, Guy Clark Dublin Blues, MC Hammers You Cant Touch This (okay, I KID!) and, of course, Born To Run with Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band. Well, I get the same feeling during that magical moment during a Blue Rodeo show when they play Hasnt Hit Me Yet. Co-lead singers & songwriters Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor step to the edge of the stage, the house lights come up a bit, and the whole crowd joins in singing the song. Its so much fun. This seven minute short film showcases my favorite band band so well that, starting along about the 3:15 mark, I find myself smiling and getting teary-eyed because, over the course of twenty years, with over fifty shows from Austin to Ottawa under my belt, and countless hours of listening to their music, no band elicits a deeper emotional reaction from me (I put Springsteen in a category all by himself ;-)).
