As you all know, I have chosen to put my name into a race for the Federal Liberal Nomination to be its candidate for Nickel Belt. The race is going well and I am quite confident that I will succeed. I am always humbled by the response I have gotten already, because 99% of my supporters are not family (in fact only my wife and son are able to have memberships)! Instead they came from those that I have directly worked with or have made friends with over my twenty plus years in the riding. Through these relationships, they have come to know me as a truthful and genuine person. I will continue to display these characteristics as I have no desire to play politics. Instead of pontificating, I will lead with liberal values when given the chance to represent the interests and the needs of Nickel Belt residents. I will always want to justify the work I am doing and will be responsible to defend it to the questioning constituent. So I urge you all to come hear the 4 candidates looking to become your Liberal MP. We will speak on January 17th in Sturgeon Falls at the Gervais Restaurant from noon until 2 PM and again on January 21 in Val Caron at the Monte Vista Golf Course from 7 PM until 9 PM. Come out and become informed and then vote your conscience on the day of the nomination vote. Those who know me, understand that I am excited to prove my worth because that is how Ive always been.
