As you all know I recently moved to be with my daughter. I now work for a University Hospital accessing patients for surgery, (pre-op medicine) As a result of this, I have been made aware of DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) for severe depression. Could this have saved Robin Williams? Maybe. Recently the FDA approved this method for treatment resistant depression. Keep in mind, this treatment, thus far is for the treatment mood disorders, NOT personality disorders. I am posting this as an FYI as I know this is not widely known, but it is promising for those who suffer severe depression.
