As you all know ... I try to avoid being a politics on Facebook guy and for good reason; Ive barely seen a political argument end well in this medium. There is a real dearth of fact-checking that happens and an over-abundance of bigotry. NOTE I DID NOT SAY RACISM SO DO NOT TWIST MY WORDS. I mean bigotry which is clearly defined as intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself. I will say this ... I may not necessarily agree with everything people put up on Facebook but I will ALWAYS respect the person who goes out of their way to check the facts before posting. Also, I will give mad props to the person who does not convey their political stances though meme alone. If youd like to discuss political matters on social media, I cannot tell you what to do. Youre all of age to make your own decisions. What I do ask is that youve done your best to do your homework on matters. For that, Id like to thank Edward Charles. Im almost certain several of my friends would disagree with some of his posts especially when it comes to certain ultra-conservative leaders in the state of Louisiana ... but hes thoughtful with it. Anyway ... long story short, think before you post. Most of all, dont be a bigot just because someone posts something that doesnt align with your political views. They are like you and just want what they feel is best for their country. Thanks yall. tl;dr version: Think before you post political crap and dont be a bigot. Bigot is defined as intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.
