As you all know I was accepted into the Nursing Program for Spring 2015 but this past week I received some not so good news. It appears that the clinical sites (Duke, Duke-Raleigh, UNC, Johnston Memorial, Rex) have taken issue with the record I obtained as a youth and want to deny me access to their facility for clinicals. This record is very old, non-violent and definitely does not reflect the man I have become in the last 14 years. This could eliminate me from the program and halt my desire to become an RN. It is now that I reach out to all my friends, co-workers, family, etc to consider writing a letter of reference in my behalf in hopes that it will persuade the sites to give me the opportunity to advance my education. If you can offer any other resources to like a lawyer, contact at the HR departments in one of the sites or anything that comes to mind that will help me secure my spot that I have worked so hard for over the past 2 years it would be greatly appreciated.
