As you are aware Congress is over,our work begins. The expectations of residents from a fully functional and legitimate ZANU PF Government of Zimbabwe are outlined as follows: 1. People want to go into the industry and secure jobs in order to earn a living, send their children to school, pay for their medical bills, buy food, clothing, and visit their extended families as and when they want to. 2. Local authorities must be fully functional, providing citizens with adequate, clean potable water, and an efficient sewerage reticulation system, road network effectively maintained and upgraded. Restore the soon-after-independence transport system where the trains transported people in a predictable way and the public transport system made people plan in advance, knowing that they will be fetched from point A and reach point B at a particular time. 3. New settlements should have adequate facilities- schools, health centres, recreational facilities, and taking care of the elderly, the disabled, orphans and the vulnerable in society. 4. End all forms of corruption in the public sector. People must be recruited based on merit and not on a patronage system. Service providers must be chosen based on capacity and competence and not based on the ability to pay bribes and relationship with Ministers or chief executive officers of parastatals. 5. There must be respect for the laws of the Country, and adherence to systems and procedures in housing allocations, land developments, and securing houses should be publicly known to all and not the current system where patronage has taken root.
