As you are probably aware, California is experiencing a serious drought. The City of Sacramento has ordered 20% mandatory water conservation. The effects of this are visible at the Cemetery - no bright green lawns for us this summer! Were fine with that, however. We also want you to know that many of our adopted plots are still beautiful thanks to the use of water-saving drip irrigation. And did you know that roses (like those in our Historic Rose Garden) are water-efficient plants? They require less water than you might expect. We are conserving water wherever possible, while providing our precious historic roses with enough water to survive this difficult summer.
