As you can see, my good friend Mark Walker helped me make a video at his Coolidge Hill Studio, of me playing different shekeres. I have had many requests from percussionists and shekere lovers, from all over the world want to hear what my shekeres sound like so I did a video, which is presently being edited by Mark. It will be posted very soon. Being my first attempt at a video, I grade myself as a C+ Ill do it better next time and with other shekeres that I presently have in inventory. :) Two very important things that I did not mention were 1-All my shekeres, that I make, are adjustable at the bottom on the skirt so if something should happen to the gourd, which requires repair, you can loosen the double knot and slip off the skirt to have the gourd repaired. This way you do not loose the skirt 2-My collar is two fold. First to make a nice beginning border for my shekeres, but most important is by applying pressure with your pinky finger, holding the neck, you can mute the texture of the sound like the pedal on a piano or the mute of a trumpet. :)
