As you get to know me and what I stand for you will learn that my beliefs and convictions are deeply rooted with very little wiggle room. But believe it or not one of my core beliefs, while logically sound, differs from many other Conservatives and Republicans. This is one area that I may not be seen as a Conservative. I am Pro-Life. Completely. What I mean is I believe that life begins at conception and should not be terminated by man. And I am against capital punishment. You may not agree with my stand on capital punishment but you can see where consistency, at least on a logical basis, makes my position as a Pro-Life Conservative a stronger argument. When it comes to terminating a human life that cannot harm you then I am consistently Pro-Life. The reasons why I disagree with capital punishment are based on religion, economics, and control of the government. Religion is self-explanatory. From an economical point of view it is just cheaper to keep them in prison. And I do not agree with the government having the power to put an incarcerated citizen to death. Wiggle room - The United States military has the right to defend our citizens by taking the lives of those that threaten the lives of our citizens. Citizens have the God-given right to defend themselves and/or their loved ones from those that threaten their lives. Does my consistent Pro-Life stand make me a “better” candidate or a worse one? I’m not sure but it is where I stand on the Pro-Life/Capital Punishment/Self-defense subject. Any questions? Anthony Culler
