As you have seen befor on this page, strength training is a favourite, and mixing it up with bodybuilding-style training and endurance training, you can make some seriously good gains. I totally believe that to get the best physique possible you really need to mix things up - especially when you get over 40. Keep the stimulus high, challenge the body in a variety of ways and it will respond accordingly. With this in mind, I introduced Sammy to some good outdoor strength training - simple walks with the farmers handles, as well as a few shrugs thrown in there too. Please be aware that when I was filming Sammy I had only just finished my set.....literally seconds. So please forgive the very heavy breathing :)
