As you head back to post from the hospital, you are flagged down by a young teenaged male who clearly has been in an altercation. His right eye is contused and nearly swollen shut, his upper lip is swollen with a laceration, and his shirt is torn. You further notice that he has a large laceration to his right lower leg, which has a steady flow of blood coming from it. You get him into the back of the ambulance for a more thorough assessment. As you start to examine him, he pulls away slightly as you near the small of his back, wincing in pain and saying Ow man, dont go near there it hurts. You think that you see the silhouette of a handgun as his tattered shirt shifts in this area. He then says, Oh and no cops man! I was just minding my business anyway and I dont know who did this to me. No cop has ever helped me and I doubt they are going to now... What do you do next?
