As you know I have been collecting statements of abuses by the churches on the Pine Ridge Reservation where I live. I have been given statements about missionaries and non-native from church groups coming here and taking children. Some missionaries convince the Native parents that they want to help them by raising their children. Some tell the Native parents that the kids are better off living with the missionaries. Others promise to keep the kids till the parents get on their feet. Then when the parents go to get the kids back the missionaries refuse to give them up. Somehow this is common practice around here. Sick! Now there is parents who dont know there is help for them to help get their kids back. If anyone out there knows of a situation like this please message me.
