As you may be aware, Jools Holland is playing in the Quarry this coming Saturday, 12th July. We have not managed to persuade him to take part in the parkrun prior to performing however it does have some implications for us. I am being told the main path from Porthill Bridge to the Hercules statue will be closed due to the sound systems being set up there. We will divert the route to run along the lower path for that section for this week only. Obviously that lower path is narrower and we will be sharing it with the general public so can I urge common sense and please be extra considerate to other park users. We will need a couple of extra marshals to be on that path - currently on the volunteer roster we still need Funnel Manager / Number Checker and 2 more marshals.
