As you may know, Ive been spending a lot of time thinking about graduate schools for next year. My main reason for going to graduate school was to get a teaching license, as well as to work on my teaching skills. But Ive realized that what I really want is to teach as soon as I can, and so after much thought, Ive decided to enroll in Teach For America for next year. I love being in schools but I need to get out into real world, and into a classroom, as soon as I can, and I dont want to continue to use school as an excuse for putting it off. Teach For America is going to e putting me in a school in New Orleans. Given the history of charter schools in New Orleans following Katrina, the fact that Louisiana is the prison capital of the world, and French communities Ill be able to live with, Im very much excited. I need to focus on Plan right now, but nonetheless very excited for what the future holds after Marlboro. Wish me luck!
