As you may know, Ive served on the K103 board of Directors for the past 2 years, including the last year as Chairperson. My term is now up, though I have been nominated for another term of 2 years, with an election to take place this weekend. I expect the voting to be close, and every individual vote could make a major difference. With that in mind, Im hoping if you get a chance this Saturday, you can vote for me between the hours of 9 and noon in the bank lobby. The majority of the last term has been focused on the new building, as well as raising funds to make that happen (the old building was literally falling apart), and Id like to continue for at least one more term to help ensure the long term survival of the station, which has always been there for the community in times of need. Of the other 3 candidates, I only know 2. Ive worked with Mike Sky on the K103 board for the past 2 years, and know him to be a dedicated board member, who genuinely cares for the welfare of the community and the radio station. Bobbi Dee Deere I do not know professionally, but on a personal level, know her to be someone who cares very genuinely for her community, and while I do not always agree with her, I strongly believe in a diversity of opinions and viewpoints. With that in mind, besides myself, I recommend you to strongly consider voting for these two individuals as well. Nia:wen for your time
