As you may know or not know I am part of the Drogheda Pool League Committee now...after a meeting on Wednesday night I can now officially confirm that Carranstown Team will now be competing in the 2nd division after expressing an interest in doing so despite not winning promotion last year...the reason for this is there are too many teams in the 3rd division and this may also apply to other teams currently in the 3rd division that express an interest in playing in the 2nd also!! I will be dropping in the registration forms to Simon over the next few days closing date for teams to register is 12 sept...let the derby games commence!! The Tollstone Team would like to welcome the Carranstown team into the 2nd division however absolutely no quarter will be shown lol...Furthermore the players of the Tollstone Team would like to point out that they won promotion and didnt accept the charitable donation of automatic promotion from the Drog pool league ha ha only joking we are looking forward to the local derby matches and the selected abundance of sandwiches/ cocktail sausages/ chicken goujons for such a monumental match!!!
