As you probably know, Krakow is currently running for a host city of the Olympic Winter Games in 2022. As the “applicant city”, it has its own logo, whose two main themes are: Market Square, the heart of Krakow, and “parzenica”, which is the distinctive ornamentation used in mountainous regions of Małopolska. The choice of those two themes comes as no surprise. While Market Square is a potential location of medal ceremonies, “parzenica” remains a symbol of Tatra Mountains’ unique folklore that appears on all regional costumes of that area.
